AN inquest into the sudden and unexpected death of a woman in a Dublin hospital five years ago has heard about her family’s disbelief that she was given a blood thinner after seeking urgent treatment for repeatedly coughing up blood.

A verdict of medical misadventure was recorded into the death of Marie O'Mahony, 65, a married mother of two of Hermitage Grove, Rathfarnham, Dublin.
