Dithering Celtic miss out on Kasper deal

- BY MICHAEL GANNON

BLUNDERING Celtic were last night on a frantic last-gasp striker hunt after a series of embarrassing snubs left fans fuming at a disastrous transfer window.

The Hoops secured wide man Sebastian Tounekti in a £5.2m move from Swedes Hammarby - while Adam Idah checked out in a £6m plus switch to Swansea.

But the Parkhead club slammed into brick walls in their attempts to land replacement frontmen - after being brutally rejected by at least two top targets.

Kasper Dolberg dramatically snubbed Celtic at the 11th hour in favour of a return to former club Ajax from Anderlecht.

‘And Chelsea fringe man David Datro Fofana also knocked back a proposed move to Glasgow and opted to head to Championship Charlton.

Dolberg looked set to head to Scotland with a £8.5m deal agreed with Anderlecht, only for Ajax to step in following their £21m sale of Brian Brobbey to Sunderland.
