Bashed US tourist Termini slams release of second assault thug

A SECOND thug who viciously attacked a tourist and left him in a coma has been released from custody early.
INJURIES Stephen Termini leaving the CCJ on crutches last February
The boy, who was the third teen to assault American Stephen Termini in July 2023, was given a 26-month period of detention in Oberstown Children Detention Centre last October - but has walked free in recent days.
And in an exclusive interview with this paper today, Mr Termini, 58, who is now back home in Buffalo, New York, said: "They could've killed me."
Mr Termini added: "As far as I'm concerned he should've gotten 20 years.
"I don't think he deserves to be out now and I don't think he's paid for his crime."
Judge Martin Nolan imposed a 26-month period of detention on the then 14-year-old who the court heard had witnessed the brutal attack before he gave Mr Termini a "savage" punch.
The judge said the actions of the thug, who pleaded guilty to violent disorder and assault, were aggravated by the fact that he was the third party to become involved in the assault.
