Bailey family & friends to spread ashes in 'goodbye'

IAN Bailey is to get his last request when his ashes are spread in west Cork this weekend at a private ceremony with family and friends.

The get-together will involve poetry, music and some prayers to say a dignified “goodbye” to the main suspect in the Sophie Toscan du Pantier murder, almost 18 months after his death.

At least 20 people are expected to attend, including his sister Kay Reynolds and the film-maker Jim Sheridan who has spent the past few years defending the Englishman's innocence.
