ALEXANDER ROCKED BY REF JUSTICE

Irish Daily Mirror

|

January 19, 2026

BRADFORD manager Graham Alexander blasted referee David Rock after claiming his side were denied a “blatant” penalty during a 2-1 defeat by leaders CARDIFF.

First-half finishes from David Turnbull and Calum Chambers put the Bluebirds on course to move nine points clear of the thirdplaced Bantams, before Jenson Metcalfe set up a tense finale.

But Alexander (above) felt Rock should have pointed to the spot when Antoni Sarcevic went down.

“If he's not giving that anywhere else on the pitch then we might as well go and get our trunks on and just start wrestling each other,” he said. “It was a blatant penalty.”
