Accused 'told gardai of his worry for pal'

ONE of two men charged with the murder of a man told gardai he was "concerned for the welfare of his friend and he wanted to assist", a court heard.

The remains of Kieran Quilligan, 47, were found in a gravel bag in scrub-land in Rostellan, Co Cork on January 29, 2024. A missing persons investigation was launched in the aftermath of his disappearance on September 1, 2023.
