ABBEY'S VERGERS TO BOW-WOW OUT

Two Labrador retrievers who have been official assistant vergers at an historic abbey are set to retire - as the building is getting too chilly for them.
-
Eric, 11, and Florence, 10, have regularly been on duty three days a week with owner Chris Skepper, Head Verger at Tewkesbury Abbey in Gloucestershire, but it’s now going to be too cold for the ageing pair in winter months.
