A GREAT PEP TALK

GALWAY football manager Pádraic Joyce has revealed details of the PEP talk he received after crossing paths with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola at a charity event.

Joyce said he took the opportunity to pick the brains of the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss (above) on a range of managerial issues, admitting Guardiola's teams remain a reference point for coaches across all codes.

"I watch his style of play. He's been a brilliant manager," Joyce said. "You'd always look at bits from other managers to see what you can pick up.
