HC asks govt, EC to conduct local body elections within three months

The Telangana High Court on Wednesday delivered its verdict on the local body elections in Telangana.

The High Court judge Justice T. Madhavi Devi delivered the verdict and ordered the State government and the State Election Commission to hold the Gram Panchayat elections within three months and added that the process of division of wards be completed within 30 days. The High Court has issued orders to the State government and the State Election Commission in this regard. The High Court questioned the State government and the Election Commission about the delay in conducting the elections even though the term of the local bodies ended on January 30, 2024. Justice T.
