District Collector Inspects Munneru Low-Lying Areas and Guides Officials.

“District Collector Anudeep Durishetty emphasized the importance of preemptive action plans to prevent loss of life and property in low-lying areas during potential Munneru river floods.

On Friday, he toured flood-prone zones in Khammam city along with Municipal Commissioner Abhishek Agastya. Areas inspected included the canal-side Munneru Bridge, Bokkalagadda, Vinayaka Immersion Ghat, Prakash Nagar and Jalagam Nagar. The Collector, along with SDRF teams, officials from Revenue, Irrigation, Panchayati Raj, Police and Municipal departments, conducted a field review focused on disaster preparedness for the upcoming monsoon. He instructed the officials to remain vigilant and proactive, emphasizing the need to identify vulnerable spots and minimize inconvenience to residents.”
