Congress committed to Social Justice: Mahesh Kumar Goud

Describing the decision to provide 42% reservations for Backward Classes (BCs) in local body elections as historic, TPCC president and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud hailed the move as a major step toward social justice Addressing media persons at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday, Goud stated, "It is a matter of great personal pride and fortune to be serving as TPCC President at a time when such a landmark ordinance is being introduced. The credit for granting the highest-ever quota to BCs in the country goes entirely to the Congress party.

He recalled his earlier role as Working President when he announced the BC Declaration in Kamareddy, reaffirming the party's longstanding commitment to the welfare of backward communities.
