Boost to Ajit Pawar’s NCP as Ajit Gavhane set to return along with several former corporators ahead of Maharashtra civic polls

Around 20 former corporators from various political parties are set to join the Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Tuesday evening in Pimpri-Chinchwad.
Prominent among them is Ajit Gavhane, who recently contested the Maharashtra Assembly elections from Bhosari as an NCP (SP) candidate. This development is expected to strengthen the NCP ahead of the civic elections.Confirming the development, Gavhane said, “Around 20-25 former corporators of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation will be joining the NCP along with me today. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will himself be present for the joining event, which will be held in Bhosari.”
