Gaddam Anjaiah Goud, president, development & welfare association of the blind, Telangana & Ponugoti Chokka Rao, vice-president, All India confederation of the blind, Delhi, N. Lakshma Reddy, vice-president DWAB, and N Paramesha, Treasurer, DWAB have said Telangana Cabinet approved 42% reservation for BCs in local body polls.

The decision comes after the Assembly passed bills in March 2025 to provide 42% reservation to BCs in education, employment, and local bodies.
