York and Toulouse join Super League

TOULOUSE Olympique and York Knights will participate in Super League next year after being selected as the competition's new teams.

An independent panel considered nine applications as part of the process to expand the competition to 14 teams next season and the pair have been selected ahead of London Broncos to take part next year.
On Thursday, Toulouse and York were named 13th and 14th respectively on the IMG grading table, with London finishing 16th.
Furthermore, they were the Championship’s top teams on the field, participating in the Grand Final, while London missed out on the playoffs.
