HULL'S Victoria Pier is to be removed, Hull City Council has confirmed.
The structure on the Humber Estuary has been closed to the public since 2022 when inspections revealed it was in very poor condition.
Due to its condition, the council has now announced the existing pier will be removed to ensure public safety. The time frame for this work has yet to be determined.
