The need for speed

RUGBY league will continue to break new ground in Las Vegas this weekend, the entertainment capital of the world, but over in its heartlands, Super League is also doing its bit to fly the entertainment flag.
The competition will be represented through Hull KR and Leeds Rhinos as the NRL season launches stateside tomorrow, but over on our own shores, it's also thriving.
And while the new Super League season is only two rounds in, the game now is already proving to be faster and therefore more entertaining, thanks in large part to new officiating interpretations that have brought stricter punishments for slowing down the play of the ball.
Ultimately, the powers that be want the ball in play and at speed. And for the players - in particular, Wigan Warriors hooking ace Brad O'Neill - that's exactly what they want too.
