I AM fortunate in my job that I get to meet and chat with some truly remarkable people.
COMPASSION: Celia Hammond
By remarkable I don’t mean famous faces or celebrities or social media influencers but ordinary folk who are, in reality, very far from it.
These are individuals who do extraordinary things in a quiet way, going about their daily lives improving the existence of others or enhancing society in general.
They epitomise the phrase 'the kindness of strangers; they seldom get a medal to pin on their chest and you'd probably walk past them in the street. But they’re there, unobtrusively in the background of all our communities, working to make a difference.
Celia Hammond is one such woman. You may know her as a model from the 1960s. She was at the centre of swinging London.
