PLAY-OFF SEMI-FINALS ARE A WHOLE NEW BALL GAME, SAYS PETERS
Two down. One to go. That is the message from Willie Peters after Hull KR secured a domestic double, and he insists they are in prime position to attack the playoffs despite not being at their best in recent weeks.
The Robins left it late to beat Warrington as tries from Arthur Mourgue and Tyrone May saw them come from behind to defeat the Wire with a win that ensured they picked up the League Leaders' Shield.
Rovers were still far from their best but won another must-win game. That was the overriding positive for Peters as they prepare for two more games of a similar stature in the coming weeks.
Other teams will head into the playoffs in better form, but with a week off ahead of them and another trophy in the cabinet, Peters expressed his content with where his side are at ahead of door-die fixtures next month.
"I'm honestly not bothered at all," Peters said when asked if the result helped him overlook the nature of the performance.
