Residents fined over £3K for littering

SEVEN Hull residents have been fined a combined total of more than £3,000 for littering. Hull City Council is "continuing to warn" people to dispose of their waste responsibly or potentially face "a substantial fine or prosecution".

The seven residents were each given a criminal record after failing to pay fines issued by the authority and being convicted at Hull Magistrates' Court.
They were found to have littered in parts of the city including Mount Pleasant, Goodhart Road, Hessle Road, Holderness Road, and Beverley Road. Their fines collectively totalled £3,172, an average of around £453 per person.
