JAKIROVIC ANNOUNCED AS NEW HULL CITY HEAD COACH
ACUN Ilicali says it was Sergej Jakirovic's football philosophy that convinced him to pursue the Bosinian after appointing him as Hull City's new head coach.
The 48-year-old has penned a two-year deal at City with the option of a further 12 months after the Championship Tigers agreed a deal to get him out of his Kayserispor contract, which had another year to run.
City have pushed hard to bring in the former Dinamo Zagreb boss, with him becoming Ilicali's first choice to replace Ruben Selles who was sacked just under two weeks after the Championship season finished with the Tigers surviving on goal difference after a final day draw at Portsmouth.
