INSPECTORS HAIL IT AS AN EXAMPLE TO OTHERS

Hull GP practice rated 'outstanding' by CQC

A HULL GP practice has been so successful in meeting the needs of its patients, it has been hailed an example for other surgeries to follow.

Laurbel Surgery was rated as outstanding following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in June. The Hull GP practice is in Main Road, just outside Bilton.

Run by Dr Navin Jaiveloo, it provides services to around 3,600 residents. The CQC upgraded the rating from good to outstanding due to how caring, responsive, and well-led the surgery is, while ratings for safe and effective were again rated good.

Alan Stephenson, CQC deputy director of operations in South and East Yorkshire, said: "When we inspected Laurbel Surgery, we found a service that embraced learning and innovation to provide the best possible care to people.
