Huge ship fire closes parts of city centre

NO INJURIES REPORTED

A LARGE fire on a vessel in Albert Dock yesterday morning is not believed to have caused any injuries, the ambulance service confirmed.

The fire onboard the Altay resulted in the closure of English Street, Wellington Street, Humber Dock, Kingston Retail Park, The Marina and Jackson Street in Hull. Hull City Council said the Ice Arena and all of its museums had also been forced to close.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service stated it sent multiple ambulances to the incident. All those who were onboard the vessel have since been checked over.
