How Hull KR overturned ban for Kiwi icon to play in final

KEY ARGUMENTS WERE MADE
KIWI icon Jared Waerea-Hargreaves is now free to finish his illustrious career on his own terms after Hull KR successfully appealed a Grade C charge with the club making several successful arguments to overturn the decision.
The veteran prop received a three-match ban for a high tackle in the semifinal win over St Helens but a tribunal hearing has cleared him to play in Saturday's Super League showdown against Wigan Warriors at Old Trafford.
Hull KR's legal team put forward a successful not guilty plea, freeing up the 36-year-old for the ultimate career swansong.
Official Liam Moore and video referee Jack Smith at the time both agreed there was no foul play in Waerea-Hargreaves' contact on Saints' Jon Bennison, who then failed a head injury assessment at Sewell Group Craven Park.
No penalty was given against Waerea-Hargreaves, which was reiterated in Hull KR's case a decision overturned by the match review panel to hand out a Grade C charge.
