GIRL SUFFERED SEVERE BRAIN INJURY, WAS IN A COMA FOR TWO WEEKS AND HAS UNDERGONE MULTIPLE SURGERIES
THE uncle of a 12-year-old girl hit by a car on Holderness Road is raising money to help his family with expenses while she is in hospital.
Michael Redfern described his niece, Layla Redfern, as “full of life” and “always making us laugh” before the tragic incident on Thursday, November 13.
Layla was walking to school when she struck by a car in Holderness Road at around 7.45am. In a statement at the time, Humberside Police said a 12-year-old girl had sustained “serious injuries”.
