YOUR WEEKLY ROUND-UP OF THE REGION'S LEADING AUCTIONEERS

FOUR paintings by the Hull artist Henry Redmore, one of the finest British marine artists of the 19th century, and five paintings by Walter Goodin, the renowned 20th century painter of East Yorkshire coastal scenes, are to go under the hammer in the Autumn Art Sale at David Duggleby's saleroom in Scarborough on Friday.

The Redmores include Unloading a Ship near Flamborough Head, a strikingly atmospheric scene painted in 1884, just three years before his death, a late period in which he was producing some of his most accomplished work (pre-sale estimate £3,000-£4,000).
