TOP 20 REGIONAL ROADS FOR SPEEDING UNVEILED
A MOTORIST was clocked driving at a whopping 149mph on the M62.
The driver - snared on the motorway in East Yorkshire last October - is among five of the worst speeding offenders caught on the Humber region's roads in the last year, all of whom were clocked travelling well over the speed limit.
Another was caught speeding at 143mph on the M62 in February, while the others were speeding at 139mph on the A15 in March, 133mph on the A1079 last July and 132mph on the A180, in northern Lincolnshire, last May.
In all, 15,988 Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) were handed out in the Humberside force area for speeding between March 2024 and this March, according to the data gathered by personal injury solicitors Legal Expert.
A Freedom of Information (FOI) request also revealed the specific stretches around the region which were worst for speeding offences, uncovering a top 20 list of roads.
