KR COACH HITS OUT AT FC'S TREATMENT OF STAR MAN LEWIS

- By MATT SHAW

WILLIE Peters hit out at some of the treatment aimed at Mikey Lewis from Hull FC players after questioning how a 'blatant' incident was not punished on the field.

Lewis was on the receiving end of several incidents, particularly in the closing stages, which left his head coach unimpressed with the opponents while in admiration of his own player for his handling.

Lewis had got the better of Cade Cust after a push and shove close to the Hull line, which resulted in Jack Broadbent scoring as Cust switched off. But later on, Lewis was involved in several ruckuses while taking in the ball, leaving Peters particularly unhappy with a late incident involving Jack Ashworth.

"We could have been really reactive to some of the things that went on because some of it was blatant," Peters said. "It will get looked at now but there were some things there that didn't get pulled up in the game.

"I was annoyed with it, I'm not going to lie there.

"I lost my calm and composure more than Mikey did, which is great, as I spoke to the players about not getting caught up in anything.
