HULL City Council's Love Your Neighbourhood (LYN) team brought the community together for a successful litter-picking event in Porter Street, off Anlaby Road.

The event focused on clearing litter and refreshing the memorial site at the corner of William Street and Porter Street. The area was identified for attention following recent LYN cleanup efforts in the St Andrews and Docklands ward.
To enhance community engagement, the team issued a call for volunteers, and many came out to help, including a group from Welcome House, made up of refugees and asylum seekers, who were eager to support the cleanup activities. Volunteers were provided with gloves, bin bags, high-vis vests, and litter-pickers to ensure the activity was carried out safely and effectively.
