A FORMER Debenhams department store in North Wales is to welcome a new tenant four years after it was vacated. The prominent retail unit is the largest in Bangor city centre, Gwynedd.
-

Property specialist Legat Owen, acting on behalf of a private client, has secured a deal with Trade Outlet, a no-frills discount retailer. The company, which has seven stores in north west England, and recently opened a unit in Wrexham, offers surplus Amazon stock at 15% of market value.
Trade Outlet has signed a two-year lease for the 57,000 sq ft building, the anchor store at the Canolfan Menai Centre in the heart of Bangor.
It has stood empty since May 2021 when Debenhams collapsed and it has been gathering dust ever since. The new store is expected to open its doors next month.
