thought for the week
Holyhead, Anglesey and Bangor Mail
|November 05, 2025
THIS has been a week when we have been remembering those who gave their lives for us in the two Great Wars.
When we visit the Cenotaph, we see the names and numbers, but not the once living personalities that lie behind them.
The memorial chapel in Holy Trinity in the centre of Llandudno contains a book by Andy Leitch which contains the photos and short biographies of every person that died in those wars from this area. Worth a visit. The poem below is dedicated to them.
