Dealer carried on selling drugs even after police arrest

A DEALER continued to sell cocaine, ketamine and cannabis, despite knowing he was being investigated by the police.

Joshua Hughes had been 'stupid' in continuing to deal in drugs even though he had recently been arrested on suspicion of dealing, a judge said.
Hughes, 26, and his partner Rhianne Brookes, 30, both of Craig y Don, Amlwch, Anglesey, admitted a string of drug offences.
The judge at Caernarfon Crown Court, who heard the couple have a baby, jailed Hughes for two years and eight months.
Brookes was given a suspended jail sentence.
Prosecutor Michael Whitty said police had stopped a vehicle for a defective headlight outside Newry Stores in Holyhead on December 3, 2022.
They saw driver Hughes acting suspiciously by putting his hands down his trousers.
They searched him and found a substance and snapbags.
They also searched his vehicle and discovered cocaine worth about £600.
He was put under investigation.
In April 2023, Hughes' car was stopped again in Parys Street, Amlwch, said the prosecutor.
