Ram Vilas Vedanti-key figure of Ayodhya movement - dies at 67

Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lawmaker Ram Vilas Vedanti, who also played a key role in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, died in a hospital in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa on Monday. He was 67.

According to people familiar with the details, Vedanti’s health suddenly deteriorated on Wednesday while he was on a visit to Rewa for a religious discourse. He was immediately admitted to Superspecialty Hospital in Rewa and passed away during treatment.
