DDA starts work on 3 solar parks

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has started work on setting up three solar plant parks across Delhi with a capacity of around 3.8 megawatt (MW), according to officials aware of the matter, who added that by the beginning of next year, these solar projects will power the electricity needs of 400 DDA parks in the city, which is more than half of the 729 parks across Delhi.
The officials said that while two projects will be ready by the year-end, the third will be set up by early next year, saving over 25 crore in annual electricity bills by adopting the sustainable energy option.
