Defence Exports Reach Record High of ₹23k-Cr

India's defence exports touched a record high of ₹23,622 crore in the financial year 2024-25 on the back of policy initiatives and reforms, a growth of 12.04% over the previous financial year, defence minister Rajnath Singh said on Tuesday, adding that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the country is marching towards achieving the ₹50,000-crore exports target by 2029.

The defence exports figures stood at ₹21,083 crore in financial year 2023-24. "An impressive growth of ₹2,539 crore or 12.04% has been registered in the just-concluded FY over the defence exports figures of FY 2023-24, which were ₹21,083 crore," Singh said in a post on X, congratulating "all stakeholders on this significant achievement".
