SpaceX in pact with Airtel for Starlink services to India

The two companies will explore offering Starlink equipment in Bharti's retail stores
Bharti Airtel Ltd. announced a pact with Elon Musk's SpaceX to bring Starlink Inc.'s satellite internet services to the world's most-populous nation, intensifying the fight for market share with Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd.
The agreement on bringing these high-speed services to India are "subject to SpaceX receiving its own authorisations" to roll out the operations, billionaire Sunil Mittal-led Bharti said in an exchange filing on Tuesday.
The two companies will explore offering Starlink equipment in Bharti's retail stores as part of this arrangement, while Musk's firm will seek to leverage Bharti's ground network infrastructure and other capabilities locally, according to the filing.
