Plan for elevated ring road, industrial hub sent to govt

The Seraikela-Kharsawan administration has approved and sent a proposal to the Jharkhand government to build an elevated ring road and an industrial corridor in the district under the PM Gati Shakti Project, officials close to the development said on Saturday.
“We have sent a project proposal for constructing an elevated ring road and an industrial corridor in Seraikela under the PM Gati Shakti Project to the state government. The PM Gati Shakti Project has done mapping of land parcels, excluding forestland and human habitation areas. So land acquisition and forest clearance would not be much of a problem if this project proposal is taken up under the PM Gati Shakti Project,” Nitish Kumar Singh, Seraikela-Kharsawan district deputy commissioner (DC), told HT on Saturday.
The DC further said that the district has 1,500-2,000 big, medium, and small industrial units in Adityapur Industrial Area (AIA) and other locations, of which over 200 are export-oriented.
