Muslims Protest Against Waqf Act, Back Govt's Stand Against Pahalgam Attackers

Muslims in Bihar's Seemanchal region took out a protest march on Friday, opposing the Waqf (Amended) Act and condemning the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam that claimed over 26 lives.
PURNIA:
The march began after Friday prayers (Jummah Namaz) at Jama Masjid in Purnia and proceeded through several localities—including Line Bazar, Ford Company Chowk, R.N. Shah Chowk, Lakkhan Chowk, Rajni Chowk, and Arabia College—before culminating at Jamia Khulfa-e-Rashideen, a madrasa located in Madhopara. The march covered a distance of about six kilometres.
This marked the first protest in Bihar against the newly amended Waqf Act following the Pahalgam terror attack. Protesters alleged that the amended Act was being forcibly imposed on Muslims and was a direct infringement on their fundamental rights.
