MUMBAI: Private medical colleges are demanding an increase in the number of seats in undergraduate admissions, a day after the state introduced reservations for economically weaker sections (EWS) in the open category.

The Association of Private Medical Colleges said it will approach the state government, urging it to request the National Medical Commission (NMC) to allow an increase in the intake capacity.
