JMM, Cong grill BJP over VP exit

His decision to step down citing health reasons should be respected, not twisted for cheap political gain
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and the Congress on Tuesday hit out at Bharatiya Janata Party over surprise resignation of vice president Jagdeep Dhankar, pressing that the party must come out with the real cause that led to exit of the latter from the coveted post two years before his tenure.
Alleging that Dhankar was forced by the BJP to resign as his decisions were making the saffron party uncomfortable, JMM general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya said Dhankar was forced out of office as he was pro-farmer and pro-army.
