Awaiting Centre nod on ABY dues: Ansari

Jharkhand health minister Dr Irfan Ansari on Saturday said the Union government's final decision was still awaited on over 200 private hospitals and nursing homes under investigation out of 750 empanelled under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana (ABY) in the state.
JAMSHEDPUR: Jharkhand health minister Dr Irfan Ansari on Saturday said the Union government's final decision was still awaited on over 200 private hospitals and nursing homes under investigation out of 750 empanelled under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana (ABY) in the state. He also asserted the government would clear only genuine bills and reject all fake ones.
"The Union health ministry had sought the files of 212 hospitals whose payments have been put on hold after certain irregularities were detected by the monitoring software. We have sent the files and requested the Centre to unlock these hospitals, including the 76 hospitals which got a clean chit earlier. The Union ministry's clearance is awaited," Dr Ansari told HT on Saturday.
