Thunderstorms and hail likely over weekend: IMD

An active western disturbance and its interaction with easterly winds is very likely to cause light to cause thunderstorm accompanied with hailstorm over northwest and Central India on December 27 and 28, India Meteorological Department has warned.
NEW DELHI:
A well marked low pressure area is over Southwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal off South Andhra Pradesh- North Tamil Nadu coasts. This is likely to cause incursion of easterly winds and thereafter an interaction with the approaching active western disturbance.
