State has screened 44% of target groups for TB

|July 17, 2025
Since the launch of the Active Case Finding (ACF) campaign on June 25, 2025, the Rajasthan Health Department has screened over 7.4 million individuals—44% of its target population of 16.7 million—as part of its drive to eliminate tuberculosis under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The state has identified TB-like symptoms in 2,35,054 individuals, who have been referred to health institutions for confirmation, marking a significant push toward early detection and treatment among high-risk groups, states a release from the CMs office.
In line with the Prime Minister's vision for a TB-free India, the state is executing a well-structured strategy under CM Bhajan Lal Sharma's directions. The screening drive will continue until July 21, 2025, with the objective of early detection and free treatment of hidden TB cases. Target groups include PLHIVs, diabetic patients, senior citizens, the malnourished, smokers/drinkers, migrant workers, tribal communities, former TB patients, and residents of mines, construction sites, jails, and urban slums.
