Siliserh boring work: Protesting farmers halted outside Jaipur

Hundreds of farmers who were headed to the collectorate office in Jaipur with over 500 tractors, protesting against the government's boring activity near Siliserh Lake in Alwar, were stopped by police at Dhaaipedi before entering the city on Thursday, police officers aware of the matter said.
ALWAR:
Additional superintendent of police (rural) Priyanka Raghuvanshi said, "The farmers were stopped near Dhaaipedi before entering Jaipur."
Police barricades were set up on the highway, effectively shutting down the Alwar-Jaipur route for several hours on Thursday from 10am to 4pm, the additional SP said.
