Over 1.8 million pensioners remain unverified in state

More than 18 lakh pension beneficiaries in Rajasthan are still awaiting biometric verification, raising concerns over potential delays in pension distribution. According to government data, as of January 31, 2025, a total of 91.24 lakh individuals are registered under the Social Security Pension Scheme. However, only 73.08 lakh pensioners have completed the biometric verification process, leaving 18.12 lakh still unverified. The state government has assured that efforts are underway to expedite the process and prevent disruptions in pension payments.
