Apologise to youth for job losses: CM to Cong

Launching a scathing attack on the Congress over alleged unemployment, chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said the grand old party should apologise to the young generation of the state for shattering their dreams due to corruption.

Addressing a gathering while distributing 13,000 job letters at Birla Auditorium in Jaipur on Sunday, Sharma said, "The Congress has not done anything other than engaging in corruption over the last five years. They have shattered the dreams of the youth in the state. By voting them out of power, the public has given them an opportunity to analyse their mistakes. They should realise it and apologise to the youth."

Referring to the job vacancies, Sharma said, "Do you think that all those vacancies were created in just one year? There are about 50,000 to 60,000 vacancies in the Grade IV level. I want to ask them (Congress) why haven't they filled up those vacancies in the last five years?"

He added: "Once our government was formed, we saw the plight of the youth. We formed an SIT and checked paper leaks. We have also released an annual job calendar for 2025 keeping the promises we made in our manifesto."
