POLICE SAID THE MAN WAS CAUGHT TRYING TO STEAL TWO-WHEELERS NEAR JAIPUR RAILWAY STATION AND WAS 'INTOXICATED'
JAIPUR: A 28-year-old man held for theft allegedly died by suicide at a police station in Jaipur district of Rajasthan, police said on Sunday, adding that six officers from police stations were attached to police lines in the wake of the incident.
The incident took place at the Sadar police station on Saturday night when the victim, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, was brought to the police station after locals caught him during a theft attempt.
According to police, the man was caught trying to steal a two-wheeler near the Jaipur railway station.
