A couple in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district was allegedly beaten with sharp weapons and burnt alive by a group of villagers on suspicion of practising witchcraft, police said on Wednesday.
According to officers aware of the details, the incident took place on Tuesday evening at Beloguri Munda village in the Howraghat area of the district.
