BJP and EC will have to answer to nation for vote theft: Rahul
Hindustan Times Pune
|December 15, 2025
Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday accused the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of engaging in “vote theft”, saying the poll body and the ruling party will soon have to answer to the country for “stealing the right to vote from the citizens”.
Addressing the party's rally against alleged vote theft at the Ramlila Maidan in Delhi, Gandhi said the Congress stood with truth and that they will soon remove the BJP-led government from power.
“We stand with ‘satya’ (truth) and will remove the Narendra Modi-RSS government from power. They have ‘satta’ (power), and they indulge in ‘vote chori’ (vote theft),” the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha said.
