PUNE: While Pune's riverfront development project has drawn criticism from several quarters since its inception, the recently opened 800-metre stretch between Bundgarden and Mundhwa near Koregaon Park has been appreciated by daily walkers.

Citizens are also impressed by the 500-metre pathway from Sadalbaba Chowk to Sangamwadi.

Kalpana Zaa of Kalyaninagar is delighted to find a clean and long walkway along the Mula-Mutha riverside. "Whenever I get time, I walk on the track with my kids. Though the project is not fully ready, it will definitely become an iconic place in Pune on completion."
