Survey to find PMAY-G eligibles begins today

THE SURVEY WORK, LAST DONE IN 2018-19, IS AN ATTEMPT TO INCREASE THE COVERAGE OF PMAY-G IN THE STATE UNDER WHICH THERE IS A PENDING LIST OF 11 LAKH UNITS
PATNA: The rural development department (RDD) will start house-to-house surveys from January 10 in all panchayats in the state to identify families who do not have pucca houses of their own or are homeless to put them on the list of beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), according to sources in the department.
The survey work, last done in 2018-19, is an attempt to increase the coverage of PMAY-G in the state under which there is a pending list of 11 lakh units out of which approvals have been given for constructing 2.4 lakh houses this year, officials said.
